Community Guidelines

GoodShift is built on trust. These guidelines keep our community safe, fair, and professional for everyone — workers and businesses alike.
Respect Everyone
Treat every person on GoodShift with dignity. Harassment, discrimination, hate speech, or offensive language — whether based on gender, religion, nationality, age, or anything else — will result in immediate account suspension.
Show Up & Follow Through
Workers: if you accept a shift, show up on time and do your best work. Missing a confirmed shift without notice is a strike against your account. Three strikes and your account is permanently banned.
Providers: once you hire a worker and complete payment, the shift is committed. The worker is counting on you.
Be Honest
Create one account per person and represent yourself truthfully. Do not misrepresent your skills, experience, or identity. Providers must accurately describe the work, location, pay rate, and hours for every shift posted — what you post is what the worker expects.
Leave Fair Reviews
Reviews help the whole community make better decisions. Leave honest, factual ratings based on your real experience. Do not threaten, bribe, or coerce anyone into giving you a positive review. Fake or retaliatory reviews will be removed.
Keep Payments on Platform
All payments must go through GoodShift. When you accept a worker, payment is collected securely through our payment processor and held in escrow until both parties confirm the job is done — at which point the worker is paid immediately.
Attempting to arrange payment outside the platform — to avoid fees or bypass the escrow — is a serious violation and will result in permanent removal for both parties.
Register Your Payout Method
Workers must register a valid payout method (Vodafone Cash, bank account, or InstaPay) before applying to jobs. This ensures you get paid instantly when a shift is confirmed complete. Keep your payment details up to date.
Protect Privacy
Do not share another user's personal information (phone number, address, ID, photos, or payment details) with third parties. Any data you access through GoodShift is strictly for the purpose of completing the shift — nothing else.
Report Problems
If you witness or experience a violation of these guidelines, please report it through the app or email us at support@goodshift.work. We review every report and take action seriously.
Consequences
Violations may result in a warning, temporary suspension, or permanent ban depending on severity. GoodShift reserves the right to remove any account that endangers or degrades the community.
