Terms & Conditions
Last updated: May 2026 · Effective: May 2026
Please read these terms carefully before using GoodShift. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to be bound by them.
1.Who We Are
GoodShift is a gig-shift marketplace operated by GoodShift, a software company registered in Egypt. We connect job seekers with businesses that need short-term staff for shifts.
Registered Company: GoodShift
Country: Egypt
Website: www.GoodShift.work
Support: support@goodshift.work
2.Eligibility & Accounts
You may use GoodShift regardless of age. You are responsible for providing accurate information when registering, including your full name and mobile number. Identity verification via national ID and selfie is optional and earns a trust badge.
Each person may hold one account. Creating multiple accounts is a violation that will result in all accounts being permanently banned.
3.Two Roles: Workers & Providers
Workers (Job Seekers): Browse available shifts, apply, and receive payment directly to your registered payout method once a shift is confirmed complete by both parties.
Providers (Businesses): Post shifts, set pay rates, review applicants, and hire workers. Payment is required at the moment of hiring — before the acceptance is finalised. GoodShift charges a 12% platform commission on every completed shift.
4.Payment, Commissions & Escrow
How payment works:
When a provider taps Accept on an application, they are immediately prompted to pay the full shift price through our payment processor (Paymob). The acceptance is only finalised after payment is confirmed.
Escrow:
The full payment is held securely by GoodShift until both the worker and the provider confirm the shift is complete. At that point, payment is released immediately — no delays.
Commission:
GoodShift retains 12% of the shift price as a platform fee. The worker receives the remaining 88%. For example: a 1,000 EGP shift means GoodShift keeps 120 EGP and the worker receives 880 EGP.
Payment methods accepted (from providers):
Visa/Mastercard, Vodafone Cash, Orange Money, Fawry, InstaPay, and Meeza.
Payout methods available (for workers):
Vodafone Cash, Orange Money, bank transfer, and InstaPay.
All transactions are processed through the GoodShift platform. Any attempt to arrange payment outside the platform is a serious violation of these terms.
5.Worker Payout Methods
Before applying to any job, workers must register at least one valid payout method in their profile. Accepted methods include Vodafone Cash, bank account, and InstaPay.
Once a shift is confirmed complete, payment is disbursed automatically to the worker's registered default payout method — typically within minutes.
Keep your payout details accurate and up to date. GoodShift is not responsible for failed disbursements caused by incorrect payment information provided by the worker.
6.Cancellation & Refund Policy
Before hiring a worker: A provider may cancel a posted shift at any time before accepting an application. No payment has been taken at this stage.
After hiring (after payment): Once payment is made and a worker is hired, the shift is committed. Providers cannot cancel or delete a hired shift as the worker's expected income is protected.
Refunds: If the worker fails to show up (confirmed no-show), the provider receives a full refund of the payment to their original payment method, plus one complimentary boost credit.
If exceptional circumstances arise, contact support at support@goodshift.work and we will review the case manually.
7.No-Show & Strike Policy
Workers are expected to honour every shift they accept. If a worker fails to show up for a confirmed shift without prior notice:
• 1st no-show: 1 Strike — account status becomes Risky
• 2nd no-show: 2 Strikes — account status becomes Critical
• 3rd no-show: Account permanently banned
When a worker no-show is confirmed by the provider:
① The provider receives a full refund of the shift payment
② The provider receives one complimentary job boost credit
③ The job is relisted for new applicants
Strikes are visible to the worker in their profile. GoodShift reserves the right to ban accounts immediately for severe violations.
8.Disputes
If a provider disputes a worker's completion request (before confirming the job is done), the payment remains held in escrow and the job reverts to active status. The worker may resubmit the completion.
If a dispute cannot be resolved between the parties, GoodShift's support team will review the case and make a final determination. If resolved in the provider's favour, the payment is refunded. If resolved in the worker's favour, the payment is released.
Dispute decisions by GoodShift are final.
9.Ratings & Reviews
After each completed shift, both workers and providers may leave a public rating (out of 5) and written review. Ratings affect visibility and trust scores on the platform.
Reviews must be honest and based on real experiences. GoodShift may remove reviews that contain false information, personal attacks, or violate our Community Guidelines.
10.User Content & Uploads
You may upload a profile photo and, if you are a provider, images for your job postings. By uploading content, you grant GoodShift a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display it within the app.
You are responsible for ensuring that any photos you upload do not infringe third-party rights and comply with our Community Guidelines.
11.Prohibited Conduct
You must not:
• Post false, misleading, or fraudulent shifts
• Use the platform for any illegal activity
• Harass, threaten, or discriminate against other users
• Attempt to access other users' accounts
• Scrape, copy, or reproduce platform data
• Arrange payments or hire workers outside the GoodShift platform
• Attempt to manipulate the escrow or payment system
Violations may result in immediate account termination without refund.
12.Limitation of Liability
GoodShift acts as a marketplace — we do not employ workers or guarantee shift quality. We are not liable for any losses arising from worker no-shows, disputes between users, or service quality issues, beyond what is covered by our escrow, refund, and strike policies.
Our total liability to you in any circumstance shall not exceed the amount you paid to GoodShift in the 30 days preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
13.Account Termination
You may delete your account at any time from the Profile section. GoodShift may terminate or suspend any account that violates these terms, with or without prior notice.
Upon termination, any confirmed earnings not yet disbursed will be processed. Earned funds will not be forfeited unless the termination is due to fraud or a serious violation.
14.Independent Contractor Status
Workers are independent contractors. This agreement does not create an employer-employee relationship, partnership, or joint venture between GoodShift and any worker or provider. Workers are solely responsible for declaring their income and paying any applicable taxes.
15.Intellectual Property
All content, design, code, trademarks, and intellectual property within GoodShift applications are owned by GoodShift. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without explicit written permission.
16.Disclaimer of Warranties
GoodShift is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure.
17.Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless GoodShift, its affiliates, and its employees from any claims, damages, or legal expenses arising from your use of the platform, your violation of these terms, or your interactions with other users.
18.Severability
If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that these terms will otherwise remain in full force and effect.
19.Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Egyptian courts.
20.Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will notify you via the app and update the effective date above. Continued use of GoodShift after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
